The Million Hairs Club – mobile dog grooming parlour, originally known as The Wheely Wash Tub was established in 2001. Nick took ownership of the business in 2006, which was then 1 mobile grooming trailer towed by a vehicle. From there, the business has grown from strength to strength. In the last 11 years we have transformed and revolutionised mobile dog grooming from 1 trailer to 6 customised vans known as The Million Hairs Club.
The Million Hairs Club has secured regular monthly clients and grown not from advertising but from word of mouth as our clients value our reliable, regular, specialist service. They also know that their dogs are being lovingly and safely cared for on their property.
80% of The Million Hairs Club clients have their dogs grooming on a monthly basis, other requirements are catered for individually.

Nickita – Director
I left the corporate world to start grooming dogs in 2006, and I’m proud to say that 11 years later – I still love what I do. My motto is “Work with your heart before you work with your hands”. Happy dog – happy client! Welcome to The Million Hairs Family, where my colleagues call me Momzo or SisterBoss. I would like to introduce you to my staff, these wonderful people who I strive to hold close to my heart.
Edward - Supervisor
I have loved pets since I was a little boy. I’m so thrilled by this opportunity I got from The Million Hairs Club to show, express and enjoy the love. When I joined The Million Hairs Club, 8 years ago I was inspired by Nickita, seeing the boss doing it herself and grooming the dogs. I’m enjoying every moment.
SAMMY - Supervisor
I joined The Million Hairs Club in 2009. I started grooming in 2010, as I have a passion for animals and did not want to just be a driver. I go out of my way to give an unrushed service. Every dog is just as precious to me as it is to their owners. I will continue to give the best, as I love my work. Clean dog is a happy dog.
BOYCY - Supervisor
Pets need a whole lot of unconditional love and giving them that makes me feel good inside. I, Boycy (Spider) made a difference to the animal species…. they are my life.
Each of the head groomers has a minimum of 10 years experience in the field.
THANDO - Head Groomer
I love pets, that’s why I chose to make the grooming world my profession. I am the Head Groomer of the East Rand team and will be celebrating my 10 year anniversary with The Million Hairs Club at the end of 2017. 10 years and still in love with my job – not many people can say that! My client is to make the client happy and for them to trust me with their puppies. Happy Puppy – Happy Mummy! I love the dogs and my job!
FLORAH - Head Groomer
I like all breeds and the most important thing is to be patient with dogs. My friends call me the Bassett, I like that – because bassets are patient. The problem with a basset’s is that they are lazy, I am not lazy. The best dog to groom is a Husky, they love attention and water. They howl with excitement and then shake their bodies when they are wet. Covering the groomers with water. I am the Head Groomer of the Kyalami team and will be celebrating my 10 year anniversary with The Million Hairs Club in June 2017. What I can tell you is that grooming dogs is my joy and pride.
ZANELLE - Head Groomer
I’m 29 years old. My colleagues call me Zaza the Maltese because of my gentle nature. I have been part of The Million Hairs Club family for nearly 6 years. I love dogs from the bottom of my heart, and am especially patient with grumpy dogs. When you want good hands to your pups, just call Nickita immediately.
ALPHEUS - Head Groomer
Ive been grooming dogs for more than 20 year and I am celebrating my 10 year anniversary with The Million Hairs Club this year. Grooming dogs gives me joy because I bring joy to these dogs with my styling and making them beautiful.
SONNY - Head Groomer
Assistant Groomers are fully a trained and experienced assistant to the Head Groomer.
ERICK - Assistant Groomer
I have been part of The Million Hairs Club for 8 years. Nickita says that we all get bitten at least once a year, we joke and call it the “Birthday Bite”. In my first year, I was bitten twice! Maybe I had 2 birthdays that year. I have learnt that you can work with dogs and give them your love and then you don’t get bitten. My team members call me The Husky, because I have a lot of energy.
EFFORT - Assistant Groomer
I’ve started grooming dogs in 2011. Dogs are not my whole life but they make our lives whole. By grooming them is my way of saying thank you.
JOEL - Assistant Groomer
Hi, my name is Joel (the Beagle) – a proud groomer from The Million Hairs Club. I like to groom all breeds of dogs. I especially like to work with nervous dogs, as I can teach them to trust me and enjoy their grooming. I have been with The Million Hairs Club for 3 years, and although they refer to me as the baby – I am learning and growing every day ☺ Catch me at the Randburg SPCA on Fridays – grooming dogs for Charity.
